How it works

From your answers to their book, in a few minutes of your time.

You tell us about your child. We write them into the story, illustrate them on every page, and deliver the finished book to your inbox.

The creation flow

Five small steps. One unforgettable book.

Choose the story

Pick from the Story Library — start with the feeling or moment your child needs most.

Choose the book type

Illustrated Story from your chosen details, or Premium inspired by your child's photo.

Personalize

Add their name, age range, appearance or photo, and a dedication from you.

Pick the language

One language, or a bilingual edition with both languages on every page.

Receive by email

Your personalized PDF arrives with the EPUB, coloring pages, and reflection questions.

After the last page

Made to be read together — and returned to.

Every book arrives with gentle reflection questions to keep the conversation going, and coloring pages so your child can step back into their story with crayons in hand. The book ends; the story keeps working.

Behind the pages

What makes a SeeYouStory book different.

One consistent hero

The same child on every page

Your child's character is designed once, then carried through every scene of the book — same face, same hair, same warmth — so the story feels like theirs from cover to cover.

Written with care

Stories that respect big feelings

Each story is written for a real emotional need, with age-appropriate language for ages 2–3, 4–5, 6–8, and 8–10 — plus a gentle mantra your child can carry with them.

Representation that's ordinary

Every child can be the hero

Wheelchair editions are woven into each story so the wheelchair is simply part of life — never the plot, never the lesson. More representation options are on the way.

FAQ

Questions parents ask us.

Is this a physical book?

No — SeeYouStory is a fully digital product. Your personalized book is delivered by email as a PDF, along with an EPUB version, coloring pages, and reflection questions. Nothing is shipped. Many families print the PDF at home or at a local print shop to make a physical keepsake.

How long does it take to receive my book?

Your book is generated after you complete your order and usually arrives in your inbox within minutes to about an hour. If it hasn't arrived within a few hours, check your spam folder first, then contact us and we'll make it right.

What's the difference between Illustrated and Premium?

Both create the same personalized book. With the Illustrated Story, you describe your child (skin tone, hair, eyes, glasses, style) and we illustrate a character from your selections. With Premium Photo-Inspired, you upload one photo and your child becomes the inspiration for the illustrations. See the full comparison on Our Books.

What happens to my child's photo?

For Premium books, your photo is used one time to create your child's illustrated character, then deleted after your book is generated. It is never shared, sold, published, or used to train AI models. Only a parent or legal guardian may upload a child's photo. Full details are on our Privacy & Photo Privacy page.

How much does a book cost?

The Illustrated Story is $18. The Premium Photo-Inspired Story is $25. Adding a bilingual edition to either book is +$10. The 3-Story Bundle is $45 (save $9), and our Story-a-Month Club — one new personalized story every month, $15/mo illustrated or $20/mo premium — is coming soon. Every book includes the PDF, EPUB, coloring pages, and reflection questions.

Which languages are available?

English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German — with Mandarin coming soon. You can create your book in any one language, or as a bilingual edition.

How do bilingual editions work?

A bilingual edition places both languages together in the book — your primary language featured first, with the second language alongside it. It's designed for families raising children between languages: one book that grandma and grandchild can read together. Any pairing of our available languages works, and it's a $10 add-on to either book.

What is the wheelchair edition?

Every story in our library is also written and illustrated in a wheelchair edition. Your child's character uses their wheelchair naturally throughout the story — at school, at play, in every adventure. The wheelchair is part of life, never the plot and never the lesson. Just check the option when personalizing your child's character.

What ages are the books for?

Each story is written in four age-appropriate versions: 2–3, 4–5, 6–8, and 8–10 years. Younger versions are shorter with simpler language; older versions are longer with deeper reflection. You choose the age range when you create your book.

Can I print the book at home?

Yes! The PDF is designed to look beautiful on screens and in print. You can print it on a home printer or take it to a local print shop for a bound keepsake copy. The coloring pages are made for printing.

What if something in my book isn't right?

Because every book is custom-generated, we don't offer returns — but if there's an error in your book, or it doesn't arrive, we'll regenerate it or make it right. See our Terms & Refunds page, or just contact us — we're parents, and we want your child to love their book.

Can I gift a book to a child who isn't mine?

Absolutely — the Illustrated Story is perfect for gifting, since you only need to know the child's name and general appearance, no photo required. For Premium photo-inspired books, the photo must be uploaded by the child's parent or legal guardian.

Ready to begin?

The story is written. It's just waiting for your child.
